Cost Estimator

Our client is a manufacturer of kick strip, tread plates and scuff guards for the automotive industry, specialising in stainless steel and aluminium. Working in the commercial team you will be expected to prepare and deliver cost estimates throughout the enquiry process.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To maintain contact with existing and prospective customers
- To ensure that customers receive a proactive response
- Where appropriate to be actively involved in new developments / processes to expand the product portfolio
- To support the management of the enquiry and quotation process
- To complete cost estimating activities
- To understand and work within the business Quality system TS 16949
- To understand and work within the business Environmental system ISO14001
- To identify general improvements and work towards achieving these improvements
REQUIREMENTS:
You will need to demonstrate a sound understanding of delivering cost estimates for components and component assemblies. You will have either a degree or an equivalent level of experience in Engineering or Business, and ideally have a background within an automotive component environment.
