This process company are state of the art plastic blow moulding and system assembly, producing products which include fuel tanks, fuel pipes, expansion tanks and air ducts for Just-In-Time supply to Honda, Jaguar, BMW and Rolls-Royce.

We are recruiting for an APQP Engineer on a 6-month contract based in Coventry.

As APQP Engineer, you will be responsible for:
1. To develop and implement all facets of APQP activities including FMEA"s, control plans and PSW's well as establishing requirements for ongoing capability monitoring and SPC.
2. To be able to carry internal and customer RandR studies for process and gauge trials, using the KUL design and process scorecard.
3. To conduct both internal and supplier audits to ensure adherence to procedure and to co-ordinate necessary corrective actions.
4. To raise and implement corrective action programmes encompassing customer, supplier and internal quality concerns.
5. To communicate effectively with customers, suppliers and internal personnel both at senior and shop floor level.
6. To be able to compile the customer PPAP documentation and submission to customer.
7. Ability to use IMDS for project specific requirements and entry.
8. To be able to compile internal and external reports and issue sample reports and corrective action plans.

Ideally, the Project Engineer will be:
* Qualified to a minimum HNC/HND in mechanical Engineering.
* Have an understanding of the process of plastic materials.
* Have a minimum of 2-5 years APQP/ project management/engineering experience.
* Be organised to be able to cope with multiple tasks and priorities in a fast moving automotive environment and with a high commitment to quality.
* Conversant with automotive quality standards
