Our client manufacturers pressed parts for the construction industry. The Stock Controller reports to the Warehouse and Distribution Manager.
You will also be responsible for elements of purchasing, from factored goods to production materials.
You will oversee the storage and handling of stock from goods in to goods out and ensure that the correct processes are adhered to ensure stock integrity is maintained.
In order to maintain the right stock levels you will need to liaise with with sales, production, distribution and finance as necessary to ensure accurate stock control.
You will regularly need to conduct spot check on areas of stock holding through rolling stock takes.
Monitor the performance of your teams to ensure process adhearance to minimise stock variances and stock count inaccuracies.
Updating the companys' internal stock management system will be a daily requirement, so experience with this will be required.
You will also have responsibility for customer service levels being maintained and a requirement to hi-light and address issues are they arise ensuring that continuous improvement is of utmost importance.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in stock control within a manufacturing environment, basic knowledge of accounting is desirable.
You must possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate your team. This is a hands on role and you will be expected to lead by example. Excellent career progression opportunities for the right candidate.
