Production Coordinator – Cheltenham – Upto £17/hr
Working with a Global Aerospace Groups mechanical operation in Cheltenham, they are seeking a Production Controller for a period of 12-months and on an urgent basis. Typical working hours will be 37 hours per week.
The role is focused on the 787 programme project and will be based in the operations team and reviewed monthly. This requirement is essential to support the increased load associated with this project.
Role:
- Appropriate action of all Engineering output including change notes, stop notes, engineering instructions etc...
- Control of the above to optimise stock utilisation and minimum obsolete stock
- Communicate with all departments on the impact of these documents
- Attend as fundamental team member the change review process on the 787 programme
- Ensure the project manufacture is in line with latest issues
- Attend programme meetings as required
- Focal point for shop floor activities
Requirements of the individual
- Fully conversant with MRP systems
- Planning experience essential
- Good project management skills
- Specific understanding of the 787 programme with relevance to the mechanical systems units/parts
- Task / achievement focussed
- A hands on approach – not to be sat behind a desk
