A world class Powertrain Development Centre has been established and continues to be developed in a very attractive location in the East Midlands. Dedicated to powertrain design and development for the next generation of vehicles, the UK RandD centre is a vital part of the Company`s future strategy to become the world`s leading automotive company. It is now seeking an experienced Diagnostics Engineer.
Main activities and tasks of the job:

• Be the technical lead for Diagnostic systems on specific projects.
• Define technical requirements for Diagnostics systems on supported projects.
• Play a key role in the development of company Powertrain Diagnostics strategy.
• This is a UK based role with occasional overseas travel to vehicle manufacturing sites and suppliers.
  Candidate qualifications and experience:
• Degree or similar qualification.
• Minimum of 4 years Automotive industry experience.
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
• Able to demonstrate a depth of knowledge in automotive diagnostics.
• Ideally working towards Chartered Engineer status.
• Delivery focused with the drive to strive for improvements and high customer service.
• Evidence of achieving results through effective time management.
• Able to overcome cultural barriers.
