Our client is one of the leading steel providers to the automotive industry worldwide, with its UK operations supplying to some of the industry’s leading
OEM’s including JaguarLandrover, BMW and Nissan.

Due to substantial company growth and investment our client is actively looking to employ an Electrical Maintenance Technician. This is a Contract position initially for 6 months with the opportunity to be extended or go permanent dependant on circumstances.

This role will initially be working a normal Day Shift however in the New Year it will be based on a 3-shift pattern (6-2 / 2-10 / 10-6).

You will responsible for all reactive maintenance, TPM scheduling and use of CMMS systems to log all machine downtime date. Maintaining the engineering stores system and ordering spares as required whilst liaising with other areas of the business as required. There will also be a need to liaise with customers and suppliers as needed and helping with the businesses continuous improvement activity.

We are ideally looking for a Time-served Apprenticeship Engineer with the following knowledge:

  • Knowledge of PLC’s (ideally Siemens S5, S7 and Allen Bradley).
  • ABB Robotic experience (desirable)
  • Experience of both Hydraulics & Pneumatics.
  • Experienced/Qualified 16th or 17th Edition Regulations.
  • Experience of Press Lines with for the sheet metal industry would be viewed very advantageously.
  • Knowledge of CMMS Systems.
