A number of skilled Maintenance Engineers from either an electrical or mechanical background are required to perform planned and reactive maintenance to a range of production machinery, to support the introduction of state-of-the-art machinery and equipment into a high volume production environment. Areas of expertise required include electrical, mechanical, welding pneumatics and hydraulics.

Our client is an iconic vehicle manufacturer based in Oxfordshire and due to investment of a new vehicle model; we are recruiting a number of positions to support with this exciting new launch!

You must have experience with:

  • Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Welding /Pneumatics & Hydraulics
  • Trouble shooting with PLC based equipment
  • Recognised Apprenticeship & Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent
  • Planned and reactive maintenance

Ideally candidates will come from a high volume manufacturing environment, however our client is willing to consider qualified engineers from maintenance service, ex-armed services or facilities sectors and will offer full training and development to support the role activities particularly if you have experience with welding or pneumatics and hydraulics.

There are number of shift patterns available to suit individual needs, but we require flexible candidates who have strong communication skills, coupled with excellent problem-solving capabilities.

The permanent salary and benefits for these positions will be; £29,500pa Basic Salary + Shift Allowance 25% + Bonus + 26 Days Holiday + Company Car Scheme + Final Salary Pension. (The Contract hourly pay rate for these positions will be based on an hourly rate equivalent inclusive of holiday pay and contract duration will be from 1-2 years.) The client is looking to interview before Christmas for a January 2013 start.
