Catia V5 Design Engineer - Amphibious Design - Excellent Rate/Hours - Nuneaton

A good all-round Catia V5 Design Engineer with experience in Steering, Suspension and brakes, BIW/Trim and Closures is required for a 6 month contract opportunity in the Warwickshire area.

Our client the pioneer and leader of High Speed Amphibian Technology, with engineering, manufacturing and development facilities in the UK, New Zealand and Detroit Michigan, is looking for innovative, forward thinking and success-driven individuals to join our team as we ramp up for strategic growth.

In order to accomplish these goals, we are searching for the brightest, most creative high-calibre engineers experienced in the fields of automotive and marine engineering to collaborate with our team of specialists.

Specifically, we are looking for individuals experienced in full vehicle research, design, development and test responsibilities from prototype to production in the powersports, ATV and automotive/marine industries to work from our Nuneaton facility.

The Catia V5 Designer should have good experience in the following Catia V5 design modules:

- Solid Modelling
- Surface Modelling
- Kinematics
- Design Drawings

Essential Requirements:

- Proficient in using Catia V5
- Working knowledge of Marine, Defence, OEM and/or automotive development requirements
- High level of education, Degree level required
- Experienced in the design process (release and development) at either an OEM or first tier supplier.
- Experience of producing a BOM (Bill of Materials)
- Experience in working with others to ensure integration and package requirements are met
- Worked and operated within an engineering and/or manufacturing environment within the automotive, marine, defence or aerospace industries
- Demonstrates a flexible approach to the way they work
- Experienced at solving engineering problems in a timely manner
- Used to working within a small but highly productive team with limited supervision

- Working level understanding of Microsoft based systems (MS office suite etc.)

- Happy to work in a flexible way to support the delivery of the overall objectives
