Vehicle Test / Durability Engineer / Driver - Automotive - to £18/hr - Gaydon 

A Junior Engineer / Senior Technician is required to work on a contract basis within vehicle durability at a major OEM based at Gaydon.

You will be responsible for performing mileage accumulation / vehicle durability test whereby you would drive a vehicle and record any incidence of component or system failures.

These failures may be electrical, chassis, body, trim or powertrain. You will be capable of specifying simple instrumentation, following a test specification and issuing a report as well as doing the driving.

Experience:

- You will have at least one year's experience of working on vehicle tests (specifying and running tests) within the automotive industry
- Must have a current driving licence, maximum 6 points and no insurance claims over £5000 in the last 3 years
- No academic requirement is specified although a time served apprentice, OND, HNC or Degree would all be advantageous
- Applicants of all ages are encouraged to apply, excessive or non-recent experience is acceptable
- You must be authorised to work in the UK for a minimum of 12 months without support or renewal of VISA
- Applicants from recent graduates will be considered provided your final year project (not group project) involved physical vehicle testing eg suspension optimisation but not ADAMS simulation
