Senior Software Engineer (Mandarin) – Aerospace – Gloucs

Are you a Senior Software Engineer keen to take ownership and innovate with electronics design, development and future growth of new products and can you speak Mandarin?

As a key player in the design & development of real-time embedded software for display systems within an integrated team environment, you will demonstrate independence and sound technical judgment to execute assignments, take an innovative approach to problem-solving and share technical knowledge with others in the our Clients Join Venture Displays Subsystem team.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Develop Software Requirements
• Design, Implementation and Verification using sound engineering principles, adhering to business standards, practices, procedures and      product / program requirements
• Plan and perform assigned tasks within the framework of areas, schedules, budget, quality and cost constraints while maintaining accuracy and thoroughness
• Take responsibility for major subsystems of the software design interface with customers, partner companies and vendors to help develop a system solution
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers
• Ensure proper documentation of technical data is generated for the assigned projects and / or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
• Monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments
• Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
• Remain current in the “state of the art” technologies within Display products & performance improvements, cost reductions and problem resolutions
• Propose new analyses, techniques and methodologies with respect to specific area of responsibility where applicable

With at least a Bachelor’s degree in aeronautics, software engineering, electronics or computer science, or similar level of knowledge, you should have experience of:

• Full lifecycle software development to RTCA DO-178B / EUROCAE ED-12B or similar safety critical standard
• Software Development using C, C++, Assembler or ADA
• Design and implementation of real-time embedded software
• Graphical Modelling Language with Simulation (e.g. Matlab / Simulink / Stateflow, Statemate, SCADE, VAPS/SCADE Display)
• A level of software development expertise in any of the following: ARINC 664, ARINC 661, ARINC 825, ARINC 653, ARINC 429
• Developing applications on a real time operating system (preferably ARINC 653 compliant)
• Design and implementation of real-time embedded software for an avionics displays product
