Our client, a leading OEM at the prestige end of the automotive market and has a passion for better ideas, whether pushing the limits of technology and design or bringing people together within a community.

They are now looking for a lead development of Engine Engineering lifetime resource estimations for Global engine development programs to support the Global Process.
Monitor and control the calendarisation of engine program annual resources for each program at respective milestones whilst maintaining lifetime targets.

Update program budget estimations in line with the latest design assumptions and track changes at each gateway.

Skills Required:

Develop a mechanism/process for budget allocation down to engine subsystem level for deployment across the respective Engine Engineering teams.
Align the global resource tool to reflect the true work content for respective subsystems and functional areas.
Map and align functional activities between FNA and FoE Engine Engineering to meet our clients objectives.
Study and deep-dive the resource estimation `cookbook` for each sub-system and functional area to identify inconsistencies and make recommendations for alignment.
Recommend improvements to the Global Resource Estimation Tool (GRM) based on subsystems complexity analysis and activity mapping.
Drive engineering efficiencies across programs with common objectives and deliverables. Work with engineering teams to identify and capture operational synergies.

Maintain robust documentary evidence of Engine Engineering resource estimations. Promote the adoption of common budget planning / business practice across engine program teams.
Skills Preferred:

Knowledge of Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) and vehicle subsystems.
Basic understanding of systems, e.g. WERS, AVBOM.



Experience Required:

Proven experience in development of Program Lifetime budget estimations in Automobile Industry.
Proven record in process-building/continuous improvement to manage complex and large business issues.
Analyzing and improving estimation software/models.
Reporting, leading meetings and presenting to Middle/Senior Management.
Proven skills in co-coordinating and aligning global multifunctional teams.
Controlling annual Program budgets



Education Required:

Engineering degree (Mechanical / Automobile).
A business qualification would be an advantage
