Our client is a leading manufacturer of industrial diesel engines. Its Human Resources department operates at the heart of the business; increasing employee engagement, driving effective communication and ensuring that they have a workforce of talented people in the right place at the right time in order to deliver its core business objectives. They currently have a vacancy within the HR Team for an HR Administrator. Based in Peterborough you will join a busy team and provide invaluable administrative support. This role would be an ideal entry point for someone looking to develop a future career within HR.

Reporting to the HR Director, you will provide administration support to a very busy HR team, maintain the smooth and efficient running of the HR Office at all times and ensuring HR documents are retained and archived appropriately. You will need a pro-active approach to scheduling meetings, organising calendar management to make the most effective use of the HR Team`s time. You will also plan and organise the Team`s travel schedule, process all personnel moves and reference request paperwork on time, provide administrative support to the HR Business Partners, including assisting with tracking and monitoring personnel changes, produce internal job offers for promotions and lateral moves and provide support with the monthly checking of data related to compensation and benefits. Additionally, you will co-ordinate processing of invoices, expense reports and time and attendance reporting and run the HR System (Peoplesoft) reports as and when required to assist and be able to report on the information. You will also assist with the Long Service Award administration.

It is essential that you have considerable experience of Microsoft Office and excellent computer skills, the ability to maintain confidentiality and experience of working in a role that requires a strong attention to detail, prioritisation and organisation. You will also need a track record of identifying opportunities and developing solutions to make improvements. Previous HR Administrator experience is desirable but not essential.
