Our client represents products and services in earth-moving industries across the world. The role requires frequent contact with European dealers and field representatives - 25 to 50% of the time will be spent visiting distribution centres and dealers.
You will undertake configuration analysis, making changes to existing distribution centre configuration, monitor configuration take rates and undertake allocation-calculating fair distribution of inventory among regions and dealers, handling special order requests etc. You will be responsible for distribution centre planning - calculating projected inventory positions, calculating expected demand based on forecasts and dealer take rates and undertake SAP data entry - maintaining the distribution centre inventory plan in SAP tool. In addition, you will be responsible for replenishment - for each distribution centre configuration you will determine the appropriate amount of replenishment orders to meet turns and service targets and place those orders on the appropriate plants. Other duties will include distribution centre reporting - monitoring distribution centre performance and publishing reports on key distribution centre measures such as inventory turns, take rates and service rate. You will be responsible for project management, managing small to medium sized projects in conjunction with the implementation of the Lane strategy and the management of the distribution centre.
You will need a college degree or equivalent experience and should have a broad business background and excellent communication skills. You must also have a thorough knowledge of logistics and planning and practical experience of how the distribution and dealer network works to support sales and growth.
