Braking Engineer
Nuneaton, Warwickshire, England
Our client is a leading independent provider of product engineering, research, testing information and certification to the worldwide automotive industry and is based in Warwickshire.
To manage customer projects within VDE working within the braking team. Role will include proposal writing, testing, project reporting and close customer liaison.
To conduct requested project work in a timely and cost effective manner whilst ensuring a professional interface with the customer is maintained. Role will include:
Instrumentation
Brake testing (performance and noise) and test management to ECE and Federal regs
Specification of brake systems/ requirements
Generation of proposals and reports
Test procedure development
International travel at times
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Driving license
HGV and other vehicle licenses
Experience of brake development and test (including hydraulic and air systems) applying skills to a wide variety of vehicles.
Attention to detail and customer liaison skills.
Extensive commercial or military vehicle experience
