Our client is a leading technical supplier to the automotive industry, and due to exceptional growth plans and current business requirements, they are looking to appoint a SQA Engineeras such we welcome applicant who meet the criteria below:

• You will be responsible for planning and coordinating Quality activities, SQA and New Part Introduction Programmes
• Responsible for key elements of supplier development as required throughout the manufacture/supply of parts, from areas identified as shortfalls during the supplier audits.
• Responsible for close liaison with Purchasing and Suppliers in the prevention and resolution of non-conforming product.
• Responsible for the control of the PSW process for the chosen suppliers and work with Project Management on areas relating to PPAP. This process will vary dependant on the importance of the product or service they supply.
• Responsible for establishing, maintaining and reporting on quality records both internally and externally.
• Be responsible for close liaison with Engineering, supporting them on project delivery and control in line with the existing Business Operating Procedures

 

• HNC or Equivalent in an Engineering discipline.
• Experience with APQP / NPI Process.
• Knowledge and experience in applying TS16949 (QS9000) tools and techniques.
• Experience with in SQA roles and activities within the automotive sectors.
• Computer literate with use of the MS Office suite of programmes.
• Knowledge of inspection instruments and techniques.
• Extensive understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerancing.
• Whilst not essential, certification such as Six Sigma, Auditor/Lead Auditor would be an advantage.
• Auditor experience to IS9001, TS16949 and environmental standards.
