HMI / Ergonomic Specialist Vehicle Engineer - Vehicle Accessories

A Vehicle Human Factors /Ergonomic/HMI Specialist Engineer is required to work within Body/Interior Engineering on contract for our client who specialise in luxury and SUV/Off road vehicles.
The position will be based in the West Midlands.

This role is part of an exciting new expansion of the team to meet increasing Passenger comfort and usability demanded by future models.

Degree Qualified, you will be part of the team developing Ergonomic, Human Factor/HMI techniques and will have knowledge and experience with;

- HMI/Human Factors/Ergonomics principles in the automotive arena.
- Vehicle Interior Accommodation and Usability Attributes.
- Development of the Daily Life usage Ergonomics element of the Accommodation and Usability attribute
- Development and setting HMI/Ergonomic targets and solutions with Design and Engineering,
- Ability to benchmark competitor vehicles robustly and interpret data reliably
- Luggage and Cargo Carrying and flexibility
- Stowage
- User Maintenance routines
- Trailer tow usability,
- Electrical power provision
- Roof rack loads
- External Electrical hook-ups
- Turning circle 

Ergonomics experience and/or formal ergonomics qualification
