Tooling Analysis Engineer - Automotive - to £40,000 + package - Birmingham
Working as a cog between the Engineering Teams and the Supply Chain Management Team a CAD proficient Tooling Analyst is required to review supplier cost assessment data and validate supplier quotes. Working alongside the Programme Purchasing Manager you will review systems to develop the tooling database, ensuring all tools are up to standard and documented correctly. The Tooling Analyst will work independently with suppliers and the programme team, ensuring cost compliance according to budget and the management of the toolmakers to ensure performance is in line with spec, quality, time and budget. Working for this well-established Midlands based Tier 1 Automotive supplier will offer you the chance to provide input into Tooling bid responses, compile costs and lead time estimates through close liaison with both internal and external colleagues - ensuring constant focus on reduction and elimination of risk, failure mode and over-engineering elements.
Possessing the ability to read components, assembly and equipment drawings and an understanding of Automotive processes (ideally plastics), it is expected that you will offer tooling project management experience and the ability to operate under pressure in a demanding automotive production environment. A willingness to travel is expected for this role.
