We have an exciting opportunity for a Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join our market leading and expanding operation. The role offers career development and excellent prospects.

THE COMPANY:

We are specialists in complex high quality Castings primarily for the automotive industry. Our extensive facilities and experienced personnel provide the complete casting solution. We are a market leader in Prototype, Motorsport and low volume series Castings supported by our Engineering, Tooling and Machining capabilities. This appointment, based in Shropshire, arises to support our continuing growth.

THE ROLE OF SQA ENGINEER:

-  Manages quality improvement initiatives with the supply base including conducting audits for product, process and system capabilities.

-  Ensures that suppliers consistently provide quality and service in the most efficient way.

-  Works closely with suppliers in a variety of areas, including New Product Introduction (NPI).

-  Identifies root causes and solutions for any problems that arise as well as coaching suppliers in the use of Quality tools and Continuous Improvement actions.

EXPERIENCE NEEDED BY THE SQA ENGINEER:

-  Strong Quality orientation and proven experience of working with, auditing and managing suppliers.

-  Excellent communication skills and builds strong relationships with the supply base.

-  Knowledge of 8D, Control Plans, APQP, PPAP, FMEA’s and other Quality tools.

-  Must be conversant with ISO 9001: 2008 and will be familiar with the use of Continuous Improvement and Lean initiatives

THE BENEFITS:

It is likely that the salary will be in the range £30k to £35k plus all the usual benefits you would expect from a world-class employer. However the agreement of terms is unlikely to be an obstacle in securing the right candidate.

The role is commutable from the West Midlands, Shropshire, Birmingham, Bridgnorth,Bromsgrove Cannock, Dudley, Halesowen, Kidderminster, Oldbury, Stafford, Stoke-on-Trent, Stourbridge, Telford, Walsall, West Bromwich and Worcester.
