A new 12 month contract opportunity has arisen for a Design Engineer, responsible for working on the development of new products and upgrades for engine emission programs.

The Engineer will have a varied and exciting role creating new designs from concept through to detailed design ensuring the parts are validated and meet the functional requirements.

Based in Leicester, the individual will also be responsible for the following:

- Production release of the parts.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure the parts can be manufactured and meet the cost and quality targets.
- Work on multiple areas of the machine i.e. structural fabrications, non-metallic components and cab interior.
- Regularly communicate with other design centres for worldwide design collaboration.


Role Requirements:

- Engineering / Science Degree or equivalent industry experience
- 2 to 4 years machine engineering design experience.
- Computer literate with Pro-E CAD engineering skills
- Experience in designing structural fabrications and non-metallic components.
- Teamcentre workflow is desirable.
- Knowledge and experience of problem solving analysis.
- Experience of Off highway equipment or other heavy machinery
- Ability to self direct but also work effectively in a diverse team environment.

- Critical to the success of the role will be an enthusiastic attitude showing the initiative to solve engineering problems
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
