Production Engineer

£22 - 25 per hour
A successful and expanding automotive tier 1 supplier of suspension and steering components which is growing its technical capability and winning major new business.
It now requires a Production Engineer on a contract or perm basis within metal cutting. Rates £22-25/hr on contract; £30-33k on perm
The individual will be responsible for the following:
* To introduce changes to machining processes involving:-
- Fixtures
- Clamps
- Creation of a machining program (Fanuc Siemens)
- Tooling
- Creation/measurement of set up parts and running a production trial.
Role Requirements:
- Knowledge of CNC machining centres
- Ideally, the ability to create CNC programs (Siemens on a Chiron machine centre)
- Cutting tool knowledge (machining)
- Good problem solving skills
- General mechanical skills
