Our client is a specialist supplier of Titanium and High Grade Nickel Steels into a variety of markets including Aerospace, Motor Racing, Medical, Gas and Oil and high spec commercial applications supplying both from stocked and sourced items. Sourcing can be internal or external. It is a multinational company with 14 sites around the world including USA, UK, Norway, India, China and Taiwan and intend to continue their growth and expansion.
The purpose of the Sales Office Manager is to head up the Midlands sales operation and, therefore, they are looking for a self-motivated and independent individual to take on the role.
The role will focus primarily on the successful control of one of the internal sales operations. This will include a wide variety of functions to ensure that customers are quoted in an efficient and timely manner, to assist in telephone answering and handling of customer enquires, to ensure that all customer orders are processed correctly, in accordance with the required quality procedures and in a timely manner, to adequately monitor all sales orders to ensure delivery performance targets are consistently achieved and to ensure full liaison with the purchase team to ensure sales are supported. You will also act as the main point of contact for all of the customers` queries which may include invoicing issues, material and certification issues, PODs, chasing and progressing of orders and any related issues. In addition, you will keep an accurate filing system of all customer and order related paperwork including orders, shipping paperwork, material certification and stock movements and communicate to internal and external contacts reviews as required to indicate company performance statistics.
It is envisaged that, as the company develops, the amount of people within the sales team will expand. The ability to Multi Stage sell is a requirement, along with the ability to carry out occasional customer visits and attend exhibitions
