This major Aerospace company manufactures complex engineered products. Processes principally include machining, assembly and test. This is a forward thinking company, committed to modern manufacturing processes with a very strong order book.

As Supplier Development Engineer you main purpose will be to deliver and support the management of supply chains to consistently and accurately meet their current and future requirements in terms of business needs, specification and value for money. The aim is to support all areas of the business on delivering Supply Chain improvements through a highly skilled integrated Supply Chain Partnership Program.

Ideal candidates would be:
- Educated to a minimum level of HNC or equivalent
- Experience in Procurement/Supply Chain/Production Engineering/Design Engineering environment
- Experience of Aerospace industry or low volume/high technology industry is an asset
- Experience of change/improvement implementation programmes
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels internally and externally
- Analytical skills
- Facilitation skills
- Ability to think outside the box
- Focused and committed and Instinctive
- Capable of driving issues through to completion
- Competent in the use of Continuous Improvement techniques

The successful candidate will be required to travel and may have to work away from home on a regular basis
