Having a long history and the goal of becoming the UK`s leading manufacturer in their field. Our client specialises in the design, moulding and assembly of plastic products mainly for the Automotive and Engineering Industries.
Due to continued expansion we are looking to recruit a METROLOGY ENGINEER who`s key roles are :
To generate inspection / measurement reports utilising both manual equipment as well as 6 axis co-ordinate measuring machines.
To support internal project requirements and meet customer deadlines by providing measurement reports as requested, on time and in full.
Essential experience:
computer literate (ability to create electronic inspection reports using Microsoft office applications)
ability to accurately generate inspection reports providing explanations to drawing interpretation.
understanding of gauge validation prior to production release (R and R)
understanding of in-process capability (Cpk and Ppk etc).
experience of manual measurement / inspection (both contacting and optical).
an ability to read engineering drawings and have an understanding of general tolerancing and datum structures.
