A Vehicle Line Business Review Project Manager is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in Gaydon, Warwickshire.

Description
Position Description:
Vehicle Line Business Review (VLBR) Project Manager for the Programme Management Team.

Lead VLBR projects (contribution margin improvement) managing workstreams and delivery of opportunities. Ensure robust timely & quality delivery of any tactical product actions including resolving any technical delivery issues with VEM/CPE. Input objective vehicle line data to support technology cycle plan and commodity systems strategy. Understand commercial challenges and integrate VFM/TVM and other cost reduction opportunities into vehicle line activities and plans. Work with all functions to drive collation of key data for analysis and identifying areas of opportunities.

Skills Required:

Tenacity and steadfastness to follow through and complete delivery. Motivated self starter who will go the extra mile to complete tasks on time, and use initiative to find solutions. Able to demonstrate the ability to lead the resolution of business and process issues. Good financial skills - understanding of Income Statements, fixed and variable costs IT Skills - competent user of MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, an aptitude to learn and apply new systems & processes. Hold a current driving license - travel across sites will be required.

Skills Preferred:
Understanding of product programme financial principles, company income statement and how to maximise returns to the business. A good working knowledge of Change Control, Product Definition, and Change Management processes is desirable, and in addition, IT Skills – googlemail and OEM systems knowledge of WERS, ALERTS, AIMS, Integrator, etc.

Details
Experience Required:
Project delivery using a Product Development System (ideally GPDS) is preferred, however, experience of project and/ or supplier management, meeting demanding timescales, maintaining budget control and achieving cost-effective delivery is considered a minimum requirement. Automotive experience. Working cross-functionally: Understanding of manufacturing process and macro strategy. Working knowledge of marketing and brand (routes to market).

Experience Preferred:
Application of PACN/ Integrator/PDL Dots.

Education Required:
Qualified to degree level in an Engineering, Science or Business discipline.
