Based at our clients major manufacturing facility and the lead plant for worldwide sales of high horsepower engines, supplying international markets in the electricity generating, mining, marine and locomotive sectors.
Due to growth plans they are now looking for a Structural Analysis Engineer and as such we welcome applications who meet the criteria below:
Performing analytical Stress Analysis and component life predictions of engine components and subassemblies exposed to static, dynamic, and thermal loads : Using Finite Element Analysis (ANSYS) Using hand calculations Provide clear direction to designers Formulating approaches for specific analyses and implement them Developing, improving, and learning new analysis methods and processes for global Cummins Documenting analysis work as technical reports Presenting results and recommended actions to internal and external customers Degree in Mechanical Engineering Solid background in dynamics, statics, mechanical, thermal and structural analysis Fluent in ANSYS simulation software in static, dynamic, thermal models. If you are a new graduate, then must show quick learning capability. Exposure to ProEngineer Software Industrial experience preferred for new graduates Basic Diesel/Natural Gas engine knowledge preferred Knowledge, experience in experimental Applied Mechanics preferred Hot/Cold bolted joint analysis knowledge preferred FeSafe or a similar fatigue software knowledge preferred Optimization knowledge and experience in OptiStruct preferred Computational Fluid Dynamics and Heat Transfer knowledge preferredYour CV will be forwarded to Jonathan Lee Recruitment, a leading engineering and manufacturing recruitment consultancy established in 1978.
