My client is part of a market leading Multi-National Manufacturing company. The company has an established reputation as a supplier of high integrity product. They specialise in a variety of products for the Automotive sector and require an experience Project Buyer to join the established Purchasing team.

If you have a recognised engineering or business qualification - ideally to degree level - and have experience of working in a high volume manufacturing environment then apply for this interesting role with a multinational organisation.


The main duties of the role are to implement the materials and supplier procurement strategy for new projects, ensuring the components are sourced to meet both financial and time requirements

Candidates should have experience of:

-Previous experience working in Purchasing / Procurement department in a Project Buyer position
-A proven track record in cost negotiation and cost analysis techniques
-Working within the Project team environment in a manufacturing environment
-Working knowledge of MRP and Kanban systems, and a background from Electronic or electrical components would be preferred
-Selecting suppliers to meet companies requirements in accordance to Technical, Quality and Commercial requirements
-Involvement with New Product Introduction ensuring all requirements during Pre-Production process are met rolling into full production


You should have knowledge of Contract terms and conditions, contract negotiation along with costings and margins.
