Our Client based in the Isle of Man produces components and assemblies for the Mechanical Systems sub - division of a global aerospace Group. These products comprise mechanical, electro-mechanical and hydraulic actuation systems for aerospace and defence applications.

For an initial 6-month contract, the Manufacturing Operations Manager will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for manufacturing operations. In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and effect short-term and some long-term business goals.

Specifically, you will provide cell/group leadership in the attainment of goals with respect to safety, quality, cost, production and compliance. In addition, coach and provide direction to Manufacturing, Facilities & Maintenance Team Leaders.

Direct process/product improvement programs and provide process method excellence throughout the organization.
Lead cells/groups to achieving goals in asset utilization, process/manufacturing loss improvement, delivered quality and cost reduction.

Ensure communication of key business / customer issues to employees and direct the manufacturing of production and development of hardware.

Pursue state of the art technology and processes to enhance product / process and deliver quality requirements and interface with other organizations and vendors to assure requirements are met on time.

Develop necessary business plans to enhance all program requirements, including throughput, labour hours, cycle, cost, and image, and structure the assigned organization and staff positions with personnel to accomplish business objectives.

You will need to have demonstrable experience in a shop leadership position with strong oral and written communication skills along with knowledge of the disciplines of manufacturing management such as production and inventory control, and standard cost systems.

In addition, you will have strong interpersonal and leadership skills supported by knowledge of manufacturing policies and regulations and have strong problem solving and analytical skills.
