Specification and Change Control Analyst - 23395 - £16.33 per hour (Ltd Co)

Our client is a premium manufacturer of passenger vehicles with several manufacturing and development sites located around the West Midlands. They require a Specification and Change Control Analyst on a contract basis, who will lead the on-going maintenance of 'Knock Down' Bill of Material for platforms, driven by Mainstream Engineering change control activities.

Duties will include:

* Co-ordinate the content and issue of the KD Change Order package to KD territories.
* Represent KD at platforms Change Management meetings and cascade detail to KD Specs and Process personnel.
* Effectively interface with MPandL ECC dept. MPandL Production Control, PVT, Product Development ERS, and KD Process
* Create accurate KD Bills of Material in KD2000 by evaluating and reacting to Concerns and COINs, working within recognised time frame.
* Manage Running Change activities by maintaining the KD Concerns monitor. Use the KSpec Change Note to quantify the BOM changes and issue to the recognised circulation list on a timely basis.
* Ensure all BIW and Power train documentation is accurate i.e. reflects the current KD BOM and is issued to MPandL Production Control on a timely basis to minimise inventory and packing discrepancies.
* Monitor new parts are released to KD (FFL3 check in Falcon) and raise AIMs as required.
* Ensure CMMS is accurate
* Use KD OXO charts to confirm parts are associated with relevant SFI.
* React to BIW, Power train, Pack shop and Process queries and ensure route cause analysis is operated.
* Responsible for resolving CMMS part scheduling queries.
* Utilise the AIMs process to identify structuring issues, and monitor progress through to final resolution and close on a timely basis.
* Create weekly management reports for use by KD personnel (Kspec Usage report, Falcon) Responsible for resolving the KD2000 error reports: SFi link errors, IMBC, PARN.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

* Numerate with an excellent grasp of Microsoft Office applications.
* Must communicate well at all levels both verbally and in writing establishing good working relationships.
* Manage priorities, identify issues and solutions using own initiative, coupled with a desire to make a difference and achieve results.
* Demonstrate drive with a customer focused approach having good organisational skills and the ability to multi-task.
* Ability to perform well under pressure with high levels of responsibility.
* High level of self-motivation and determination and the ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a small team un-supervised.
* Flexible in approach to working to ensure that time differences with markets do not affect the communication processes

DESIRABLE ATTRIBUTES:

* Computer literate and proficient in Excel understanding and performing VLOOKUP methods, if possible an advanced knowledge of KD2000 or PS2000, or an intermediate level of knowledge of CMMS3 and WERs Land Rover product knowledge would be a benefit
Utilise the Hand Amendment or Retro process to address known specification issues identified through claims investigation, late Engineering change, part structuring issues etc. and track activities on the KD Change Order monitor.
