For nearly two decades our client has ensured that customers from all sectors meet, or even exceed, their targets by drawing on their unique blend of design, engineering and manufacturing capabilities. Specialising in Transmission Technology, supplying the Aerospace, Automotive, Defence, Marine and Motor Sports Sectors they are now looking for Design Engineers to be responsible for the design and detail of engineering components and complete systems, using the companies 3D CAD system to defined standards.

As the Design Engineer you will be responsible for but not limited to:

Undertake CAD modelling and drafting on Unigraphics 3D CAD.

Create Engineering Drawings and issue to the required standard.

Establish, maintain and manage a strong working relationship with new and existing customers, at all levels.

Work as part of the core Engineering team - utilising the skills and experiences of Gear Technology, Production Engineering and key shop floor personnel.

Liaise with and provide guidance to the Commercial Function and Manufacture Project Managers.

Maintain suitable issue control and Bill of Materials for the parts and projects and in a timely fashion.

Advise corrective action to shop floor queries and non-conformance.

Carry out any reasonable additional duties as requested by management.

Candidates will be degree qualified with experience of gears, gearbox, transmission/driveline systems or similar high-precision rotating components.
