Position Description:
Technical Analyst - Materials Engineer
The successful candidate will provide cross functional, analytical and technical support to the department and our customers, with the following core responsibilities:
Coordination, delivery and continuous improvement of Design Verification activities (eFDVS) for all vehicle programmes
Target setting and cascading of requirements, in accordance with programme gateway deliverables, engineering guidance and support and metrics generation and reporting
Control of fastener part number allocation and maintenance of corporate database systems (e.g. WERS, MPNR). Also drafting of fastener product and performance standards
Hazardous materials management including IMDS reporting and technical provision, REACH data analysis and general supplier supervision
Standards management including content appraisal and releasing, review and sourcing of latest external technical standards and maintenance of the Materials Standards Library
Skills Required:
Ability to handle multiple tasks within agreed deadlines and with minimal supervision. Be self motivated and willing to suggest new solutions and efficiency improvements. Clear/concise written and verbal communication and team/networking skills. Comfortable learning new company based systems. Effective use of PC tools and high level of competency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Willingness to learn.
Education Required:
Technical qualification desirable but not essential.
