Delphi Diesel Systems are a World leader in the field of advanced fuel injection systems to the car, truck and industrial sectors and are now looking for a Supply Chain Improvement Engineer to strengthen the existing Supply Chain Improvement Project (SCIP) team.
The SCIP team is a standalone department working closely with purchasing and supplies, manufacturing and project management amongst others.
The position exists within the team for an enthusiastic and self motivated post graduate who wishes to gain experience of working within a change team:

As part of the team the successful candidate will assist in:
The development and implementation of strategies to align the Supply Chain
Looking at logistics planning tools and performance.
The integration of ERP systems into the whole business.

Delivering against objectives such as:
Maintaining or improving supplier delivery performance with less stock.
Improving supplies and supplier lead time so as to improve responsiveness to customer schedule changes.
Reducing the non value added activities associated with processes.

The methods for achieving the above will include the implementation of lean principles within the supply base and an internal review and re-engineering of the business processes and systems.
The Supply Chain Engineer will hold a degree in Business, Operations Management or Engineering, ideally from an engineering background with a strong interest in operations management or from a business background with a strong interest in engineering.

You will be an enthusiastic, self motivated post graduate who wants to gain experience within a change team.
