Our client is a world-leader in the provision of project management, technical engineering and construction services to the Water industry, on programs ranging from Water Supply, Treatment and Storage to Water Resources Management and Coastal Restoration. They are currently looking to appoint a Electrical Engineer at their Peterborough office on a contract basis.

As Electrical Engineer, you will ensure that EICA designs are deployed effectively, economically and in accordance with all appropriate regulations and specifications to allow the company to minimise risks and maximise profits on contracts.

You will have responsibility for:
- Establishing and revising EICA design standards, and audits.
- Providing design guidance and support to regional delivery teams
- Providing low cost high quality engineering designs to allow the company to minimise risks and maximise sub-programme gain share
- Providing design solutions that meet all the requirements the sub-programme mandates
- Produce design documents which are cost effective, meet the requirements of the specification and which can be purchased, installed and commissioned effectively
- Ensuring that standard designs and design practices are utilised wherever possible
- Producing outline electrical, instrumentation and control design on contracts

Applicants should possess the following skills/ experience:
- Process instrumentation experience
- Knowledge of electricity at work regulations
- Knowledge of power distribution systems and associated calculations
- Desirable - Chartered Engineer status or member of an engineering institute such as IET, IMC and working towards Chartered Engineer status

Educated to an Electrical Engineering degree, HND/BTEC or equivalent and hold 17th Edition IEE wiring regulations qualification
