Are you an experienced Manufacturing or Production Manager looking for a new challenge?
An Operations Manager with in depth experience is required for one of the largest manufacturers of high quality furniture in the UK. Supplying to most of the "high end" retailers, such a Laura Ashley, DFS and Next is no easy task, and will require a special person with vision, knowledge and experience. They are an ambitious organisation with the determination and capability to be best in class recently demonstrated by major investment in their manufacturing facility.
They now wish to recruit an Operations Manager for the heartbeat of the business who can maximise the return on their investment through improved workflow, waste reduction, implementation of continuous improvement techniques, and increased utilisation of resources. The Operations Manager is likely to have a background in the following areas:
- At least 3 years at management level in a fast paced manufacturing environment
- Production, manufacturing or operations management
- Cutting or machining large volumes on short lead times
- Process improvement through Implementation of lean processes
- An appreciation of CNC operations
- Leading and managing a team of up to 20 people
The salary range for this role is up to £40,000 reflecting the calibre of candidates required, plus benefits including contributory pension scheme and private medical cover.
