An HMI Framework Engineer is required to work on contract for our client who specialise in luxury cars, the position will be based in the West Midlands.

Position Description:
Leading the HMI Frameworks Expert Group with GENIVI on behalf of our client, Guiding and encouraging voluntary contributors to various work streams. The cross functional team made are up of OEM, First Tier and supply base contributors, you will be involved with and remain aware of progress for all group work streams, feedback status for projects to GENIVI and OEM as required. This will involve chairing weekly telephone and Webex conferences with team members, organizing and chairing Quarterly Face to Face group meetings, Organizing group work streams for twice yearly All Members Meetings. Maintaining information about group and project status.

Ensuring that OEM Requirement are captured within the relevant GENIVI work streams, Disseminating and feeding back information about the GENIVI work streams to OEM. This will include pushing and pulling requirements to and from GENIVI Expert Groups, and working with other teams within OEM Infotainment. Management of and liaison with other areas of Electrical Engineering, other functional areas, suppliers and the Programme Teams. The role will involve regular international travel to attend Meetings.

Skills Required:
Skills, experience and qualifications required Engineering knowledge of HMI systems, software design practices. The successful candidates will be and excellent communicator and have strong organisational skills, and have excellent interpersonal skills. The successful candidates should be able to demonstrate a design flair and the ability to be able to engineer a range of solutions to a design problem. Flexibility in being prepared to work at Gaydon or other locations depending on project requirements.

Experience Required:
Worked within Infotainment of CE sectors. Experience of working with Alliances.

Education Required:
Degree
