Senior Proposals Engineer-Utilities-North West: £32-£42K

Our client is a world-leader in the provision of project management, technical engineering and construction services to the Water industry, on programs ranging from Water Supply, Treatment and Storage to Water Resources Management and Coastal Restoration. They are currently looking to appoint a Senior Proposals Engineer at their North West office on a permanent basis.
As Senior Proposals Engineer, you will ensure through the submission of accurate and competitive tenders that satisfy the client's drivers, that the company secures new business to achieve targeted turnover and profit levels with appropriate year-on-year growth.
You will have responsibility for:
- Managing company/client interface and relationships
- Participate in pre-qualification document production
- Scheduling/leading initial tender, tender progress, tender design review and tender finalisation meetings including production of minutes and ensuring actions are completed
- Distribution of client information to all internal disciplines/external stakeholder/suppliers/sub-contractors
- Monitor tender plan resource estimate against tender costs/progress and report savings/deficiencies to the Manager
Applicants should possess the following skills/ experience:
- Proposals experience preferably within Water andWastewater industry
- Planning capability sufficient to prepare tender Programmes
- Design and construction experience sufficient to influence the design and build ability of a project, choice of materials and be able to contribute to optioneering
- Understanding of the conditions of contract and specifications commonly used within the water industry
Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline and ideally a member of a professional institution.
