This position is responsible for providing support to the engineering team. Principal Accountabilities:

Due to growth plans a position of Assistant Engineering Release Coordinator has become available, and as such we welcome applicants who want a fresh challenge, and meet the requirements below

  • After receiving general direction and with little or no supervision, work with key individuals in developing systems to provide optimum efficiency in the transfer of all product design group data to user areas world wide. This will require an original approach to planning and methodology to meet business needs.
  • Work with key individuals in setting up and implementing systems to ensure smooth logical flow of documentation, between Product Management Group and user areas, that are accurate and understandable at first issue.   • To control standards of accuracy for all Engineering release documentation
  • To provide a checking service for drawings and models.
  • Minimum Qualification to HNC/HND or equivalent with at least 5 years experience in a drawing office environment
  • Good knowledge of standard drawing practice
  • Proficient in Pro-E minimum 2-3 years
  • 6Sigma Training is available if not already qualified

Achieve companies material cost targets of new product launch, via cost development tracking and supplier negotiation.



Accurate updates of CBOMs (Cost of Bill of Materials) and provision of information to account management for customers.



Identify and manage cost out projects with suppliers to achieve new product launch costs, working closely with pre-production technologies and Class 4 teams.



Effective Management of new tooling costs on programs



100% on time delivery from suppliers to meet customer program need dates.



Control of prototype costs prior to program launch.


Automotive Purchasing experience.

Knowledge of operating systems (ie Oracle).

Experience of dealing with a global supply base.

Relevant degree preferred or equivalent level of experience.

CIPS is an advantage.

6 sigma belt training an advantage.
