Our automotive client is a market leader in luxury and high volume off-road vehicles, designing and manufacturing in the Midlands.

We are recruiting for a Body-in-White Manufacturing Engineer on a 9-month contract based in Gaydon.

As Body-in-White Manufacturing Engineer, you need to develop Bodyshop Process concepts in line with Bill of Process for BIW.
In addition, you will:
* Work with Product Development to ensure feasible joining solutions for all joints.
* Maximise equiment usage to achieve project Capital Investment targets.
* Develop Process Solutionsto meet HRS/Car target.
* Maximise operator efficiency by load window.
* Develop process concept to meeti volume aspirations including buffer, technical availability overspeeds and Tkt time to support finiance planning volumes.

Applicants are require to have experience of vehicle body assembly process development, joining technologies and body assembly equipment including tooling, automation and robotics is essential. You will also possess relevant project control skills with strong communication and negotiation skills. Evidence of an innovative approach to technical problem solving and process development. The ability to recognise the value of, and employ the best-in-class processes wherever practical.

Preferred skills:
Process planner, RobCAD familiarisation and Catia V5.
Applicants ideally need to be educated to degree level or equivalent in an engineering discipline. However, consideration will be given to those who can demonstrate exceptional, relevant expertise in a Manufacturing Body Construction environments in lieu of formal qualifications.

You will be expected to travel between site locations within the West Midlands.
