Manufacturing Engineer
West Midlands, England
£22.70 - 22.70 per hour + ?22.69 per hour

Our client is the market leader in high volume off-road vehicles, designing and manufacturing in the Midlands.
Concept Planning
Act as central receiving area for all requests for product and volume change
Prepare detail response documents and action plan to support the requirements
Track and report active projects and deficiencies / deadlines. Programme Management
Receive, analyse and distribute Programme Direction Letters for assessment by full team.
Collate and review inputs from separate Technologies for accuracy, feasibility and content.
Create consolidated document review inputs against overall manufacturing strategy, company objectives, manufacturing engineering scorecards: assess impact and initiate actions to resolve any conflicts.
Investigate review with Finance and Product Launch then present project to Programme Manager for approval prior to release to requestor
Track and report active projects and deficiencies / deadlines. Follow up strategic and/or feasibility issues with PDL content Project Control
Agree and document key metrics to be tracked during programmes.
Put in place data sources and track programmes against metrics e.g. AIMS, launch budget, capital budget, Hrs/Car, Launch Quality Operating System etc.
Skills Required:
Skills, experience and qualifications
Sound leadership and communication skills.
An understanding of Manufacturing processes combined with a Knowledge of Product and Launch Processes.
Project Management skills, Business Acumen, Financial skills and a strong Analytical Capability
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and negotiate between conflicting business interests.
Proficient in Microsoft applications, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
