Our automotive client is a market leader in luxury and high volume off-road vehicles, designing and manufacturing in the Midlands.

We are recruiting for a Data Management Engineer on a 12-month contract based at either Gaydon or Whitley.

As Data Management Engineer, you will working within the Logistics part of the team and will be responsible for identifying cause or factors of poor performance and proposing and implementing improvements. Key to this is the publication of relevant data and management reports.

Skills required:
Accuracy, strong numerical, analytical and problem solving skills are essential. The candidate will need to include a range of stakeholders from across the business and gain support for any proposed changes. An ability to work cross-functionally and at senior levels within the organisation will be key to success. Must be IT literate and MS Office user, especially Excel. Must have effective communication skills, be able to manage a small team and work effectively across different business functions.

* Skills Preferred: Negotiation skills developed whilst dealing with suppliers / customers.

* Experience Required: Analytical roles with extensive use of IT; preferably involving production planning to achieve order fulfilment / delivery of some form.

* Experience Preferred: Experience of automotive production planning / ordering systems from a supplier / dealer perspective. Some involvement in change management programmes.

* Education Required: Minimum A level or equivalent,

* Education Preferred: Engineering Degree, preferred but not essential
