Business Manager - Touring Cars

A world leading supplier of high performance transmissions, requires a Business Manager to provide support for the Touring Cars formula. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company that for nearly two decades has ensured that customers from all sectors meet, or even exceed, their targets by drawing on their unique blend of design, engineering and manufacturing capabilities. Specialising in Transmission Technology, supplying the Aerospace, Automotive, Defence, Marine and Motor Sports Sectors.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Business Manager will be responsible for managing designated customers to achieve agreed objectives for customer retention and business development. You will manage batch sizes and acceptance of repeat order frequency in consultation with the Manufacturing Project Managers, ensuring customer requirements and the company commercial needs are met. Proven project management skills are required for you to manage customer projects throughout the business. You will be involved in producing sales plans for the formulas and the market place on an annual basis, proposing marketing campaign ideas, proactively pursuing generation of leads and subsequent quotations and co-ordinating business development activity.
Ideally degree qualified in an engineering related discipline, you will have substantial experience in an engineering environment backed by commercial astuteness, awareness of confidentiality, initiative and genuine enthusiasm. You should have experience of preparing proposals and budgets, plus have excellent organisational skills.
