Our client is currently looking to appoint an EICA Design Engineer based in Heywood (north Manchester) for a 6-12 month contract. The company is a world-leader in the provision of project management, technical engineering and construction services to the Water industry, on programs ranging from Water Supply, Treatment and Storage to Water Resources Management and Coastal Restoration.

As EICA Design Engineer you will prepare, develop and check electrical designs to suit contract requirements, ensure that EICA designs are deployed effectively, economically and in accordance with all appropriate regulations and specifications to allow the company to minimise risks and maximise profits on contracts. The projects will range from 11kV distribution to mA instrument signals. You will provide design guidance and support to regional delivery teams and represent the EICA design department at all levels within the business including client meetings.
You will be responsible for:
- Providing design solutions that meet all of the requirements the Sub-Programme Mandates.
- Ensuring that standard designs and design practices are utilised wherever possible.
- Ensuring designs are within budget and produce the best overall outcome for the business.
- The implementation of the latest H and S regulations and legislation.

Applicants will have at least 5 years' experience in EICA design in water/process industry and Working knowledge of industrial electrical distribution systems including 11kV. And hold an Electrical Engineering Degree, HND/BTEC.
