We have a unique career development opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer. If you have the ability, passion and drive to help develop, grow and subsequently lead the Design Team this could be the role for you.

THE COMPANY:

THE ROLE:

- You will build and lead a team to develop new and exciting products.

- The role will require travel and liaison with manufacturing plants based in the Far East and Australia.

- Your designs must encompass modern design for manufacturing principles.

- A key requirement will be your ability to translate customer needs into real products that will comply to CE marked specifications. 
 
THE PERSON:

- You will have a strong practical mechanical engineering background with knowledge and experience in the design and development of some of the following: hydraulics or gearboxes or rotating equipment or landing gear or actuation systems or drilling equipment or tooling.

- Industry backgrounds that may be applicable include: Aerospace or Automotive or Yellow Goods or Marine or Defence or Agricultural Vehicles or Machine Tools or Automation.

- You must have the ability to assess competitor products and the knowledge and experience to create better alternatives or open up new markets through innovative design. 

THE BENEFITS:

It is envisaged that the salary will be in the range £40k to £45k plus bonus and benefits. However, the agreement of terms will not be an obstacle in securing the right candidate. We are based in the Cotswolds with our location giving ease of access to some of the prettiest villages in England and to possibly the most complete Regency town in the country - internationally renowned for its breathtaking cultural and sporting festival programmes, it blends history and heritage brilliantly with the modern day.
