Purchasing Manager - Automotive - Norfolk - Excellent Salary
Norfolk, England

A degree qualified Purchasing Manager is required for this iconic motorsport company based in Norfolk. The remit is broad from managing and developing the purchasing team, to managing and growing a supplier base through to production purchasing and supporting a serial production line.

You must be capable of liaising and influencing both internally, with all relevant departments and levels, and externally with suppliers.

Skills required:
-A member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply
-A strong understanding of legal framework especially contract law
-Worked within either the automotive or aerospace industry
-Experience of operating within both a development and a serial production environment.
-An understanding of business ERP and MRP ordering systems

Key Responsibilities:
-Manage the day to day needs and direction of the purchasing department
-Develop and grow the department to suit business requirements
-Develop and maintain a supplier base and sourcing strategy suitable to deliver needs of the business
-Create and ensure the necessary contractual arrangements are in place to control and manage business risks
-Monitor and maintain the correct level of QCD performance
-An understanding of import duty regulations, Intrastat codes etc
-Any other activities necessary to ensure the Supply Chain group delivers' its objectives

Travel - This position will require regular travel and the individual must hold a current passport and be willing to undertake short and long haul travel on an as required basis.
