Graduate Electrical/Electronics Engineer - Automotive - Warwickshire - £16.00/hr (Ltd)
A Graduate Engineer is required with a good understanding of electrical or electronic applications to work in a busy EMC department on the test, analysis and delivery of solutions to key customers.
Our client, based in Nuneaton, is a World Class solutions provider to the automotive industry.
The role will initially start as a Test Technician working on a three shift system during the week with the aim that the successful applicant will have the ability and opportunity to develop their career and progress into an Engineering status within 2 - 4 years.
As part of a highly proactive team your duties will be:
- Running tests on prototype vehicles using a variety of test equipment.
- Build and setting up of test procedures and applications.
- Assembly of test equipment to ensure effective product testing can be completed.
- Collation of data and analysis to provide and present results to the customer
- Use diagnostic techniques to provide solutions to key EMC issues
Essential Requirements:
- HND or Degree qualified in either and Electrical, Electronic or Mechatronics discipline
- Well organised, practical in their approach and have good computer literacy skills to use the test equipment and analyse the data.
- Good communications skills are also required as there will be frequent customer contact whilst relevant.
- Experience of basic test equipment (oscilloscope etc) would be an advantage, although full training will be given.
Due to the nature of the position there will be a degree of manual lifting required in test set-ups plus general automotive mechanical fitting is to be expected to ensure that the EMC test can be successfully completed.
