Head of Embedded Software - Defence

Seeking a Head of Embedded Software experienced in managing major programmes, with exposure to resourcing, budget planning and risk management for an exciting new role with a leading supplier to the aerospace/defence sector. The successful candidate would be in charge of managing a department leading the development of software for weapon systems, acting as an international focal point for Software Architecture within Embedded Software.

Key Skills and requirements

-Strong experience in leading the development of complex high- integrity software systems.
-Programme management skills, including resourcing, budget planning, risk management and programme tracking of complex projects.
-Establish a route map for embedded software. To include, architecture, operating systems, security, safety and dependability.
-Product development, contributing to developing and implementing product lines
-Excellent communication skills are essential.
