Shift Manager - Automotive - Gloucestershire
A world leader, first tier automotive supplier is looking to appoint a permanent Shift Manager with a strong background in organisation and control of manufacturing resources for a defined shift team to achieve, quality, volume, cost targets, as well as the company's quality systems and safety standards.
Experience required:
- Operational management and control of employees for the assigned shift team including, manning levels, absence management, pay and performance, and grievance resolution, ideally in a high volume environment.
- Development, implementation and safe working environment on shift and within an assigned area, focusing on reducing accidents and incidents.
- Good problem solving ability and the ability to communicate well at all levels.
- Close control of hourly status to meet shift output targets ensuring recovery on shift of any shortfall.
- Recruitment of new employees
- Working Knowledge of ISO and TS quality standards

Relevant engineering / managerial qualification required to a minimum of (ONC level) or equivalent e.g. mechanical engineering apprenticeship along with experience of high volume manufacturing environment
