The EMC Systems Engineer is responsible for delivering EMC sign-off for the vehicle lines developed by our client. The role requires detailed knowledge of EMC and is ideally suited to someone with previous EMC experience gained in automotive industry. Furthermore, it is essential for the candidate has excellent communication and interpersonal skills as we interact at all levels within OEM and with external suppliers. Excellent project management skills are required to oversee multiple projects at the same time. It is also required that the post holder is confident, determined and patient so as to pursue implementation of solutions from teams, which require persuasion, education and a regular follow ups. Some of the key roles and responsibilities of the EMC team leader are listed below:
-Manage the EMC service provider (for whole vehicle EMC tests and 6 resident vehicle EMC applications engineers).
-Be the first point of contact for the EMC Applications Engineers, ensuring they support vehicle programs and produce key deliverables.
-Hold regular risks and issues review with EMC Applications engineers.
-Lead gateway reviews with EMC Applications Engineers prior to key gateways.
-Review Design Validation Plans, test vehicle selection, test scheduling, issue closures and Engineering Sign-Off Documents.
-Manage team budget, review and approve individual vehicle test plans to ensure budget is spent as planned and verify completion of deliverables before authorising payment.
-Lead resolution of vehicle level issues. Lead component level EMC test plan approvals. Lead EMC wiring reviews.

Skills Required:
Electromagnetic Compatibility. Project Management.

Skills Preferred:
Design for EMC at component and system level, Vehicle and component EMC testing, eFDVS,

Experience Required:
automotive EMC Experience, electronics Engineering background.

Experience Preferred:
Previous OEM or other vehicle manufacturer Experience.
