My client a market leading manufacturing with a global customer base require an experienced Metallurgist to join their established team.
The post holder will become part of the senior management team will help make strategic decisions within the business
Job Description
-Will be responsible for all Metallurgical and technical matters within the company
-Work with production team to maximise efficiencies within the manufacturing process and also look at new processes to development product base.
-Prepare detailed technical reports
-Enquiry and contract review to determine manufacturing processes and capabilities
-Responsible for both quality and Health and Safety
-Customer liaison to resolve any issues, including visits to customer sites
Required Experience
-Candidates should be degree educated in Metallurgy or Materials Science, or relevant industry experience.
-Ideally background would include both weld procedures and machined components.
-Understanding of quality procedures in a manufacturing environment
-Candidates should have experience working with a variety of metals
-Candidates should have understanding of quality systems within a manufacturing environment
-Understanding of inspection procedures
-Be able to work as part of a team and also lead teams on technical projects
