On an ongoing basis the key responsibilities include:
* Set-up mail merge activities
* Weekly part number extract from SAP
* Validation of correct contact details per supplier
* Email out request to supplier
* Update monitoring database
* Chase responses as required (by phone and email) and further communication / education as required
* Manual review of paperwork received back
* Manual entry of updates into SAP
* Additional random requests from business for urgent country of origin documentation required
* Monthly Reporting

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing Capital Expenditure proposals and projects along with ensuring the support of employees to move projects through efficiently.

Job description
-Responsible for delivering Production levels to meet or exceed company expectations, and looking for ways of improving processes and increasing efficiencies
-Ensure the ongoing improvement of safety Standards within the department / Business Unit working alongside the Plant Safety Manager
-Liaise with the Engineering department to develop programs, identifying key plant and equipment where efficiencies can be made
-Ensure ongoing improvement in the Quality Performance of the department using 8D methodology
-Responsible for cost control measures to ensure the Business Unit runs to budget
-Manage all Quality, Productivity and EHS issues identified with Business Unit Team Leaders

Key skills and experience
-Previous experience of working in a fast paced manufacturing Environment, ideally working within the Aerospace industry
-Strong man Management skills with experience of managing a Multi-skilled Production team comprising of permanent and contract staff
-Candidates should be educated to degree level in Mechanical or Production Engineer or relevant industry experience
-Experience of Continuous improvement or Lean Manufacturing would be an advantage

Primary focus of the role
Development and integration of new production lines and technologies from product concept through to end of product life, within time and budget controls. Also to ensure component design and assembly concepts are compatible, whilst ensuring feasibility of design for manufacture.

Job description
-Will be responsible for ensuring the product design is thoroughly reviewed, with regard to manufacturing feasibility, cost efficiency and quality
- Manage Production requirements for the introduction of new products through the Product Launch Readiness system and in particular PPAP and problem solving at an early stage of the project
-Ensure compliance with all TS 16949 and ISO 14001 requirements
-Components will be of high complexity and low volume aimed at high end luxury products
-Ensure adherence to key project need dates, and agreed departmental timing plans.
-The post holder will help influence capital expenditure of c 1,000,000 pa, and working on multiple projects at a time
-Responsible for project spend against agreed targets with respect to jigs and fixtures, test equipment and capital investment
-Ensure all 8D and problem reports activities are completed within specified time scales.
-Support APQP function with Quality Planning documentation and ensure production lines are released in a robust manner
-Provide management information in report format on time as requested

Key skills and experience
-Candidates should be educated to degree level in an Engineering discipline or relevant experience
-Previous experience within new product introduction process in a manufacturing environment
-Ideally candidates should have knowledge and experience in APQP, PPAP and FMEA techniques
