SQI Manager (Supplier Quality Improvement)

Due to growth plans a position of SQI Manager has become available, and as such we welcome applicants who want a fresh challenge, and meet the requirements below
As an SQI Leader, you ll be a key member of a dedicated unit engaged in all aspects of supplier quality from concept through all stages of the product lifecycle
- Supervision of Supplier Quality Improvement Engineer to reduce supplier related rejects, improve process capabilities and effectively launch new projects on time.
- Ensure effective deployment of APQP processes for key components within various VPI (Value Package Introduction) programmes.
- Track and manage supplier selection and readiness on major projects.
- Manage, mentor and develop SQI team, promoting ownership and accountability for results
- Supervisory experience within a quality related function.
- Product and process knowledge of machining, castings, electronics,assembly, plastics or metal forming.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2000/TS16949.
- Experience and understanding of PPAP, APQP and AIAG Core Tools.
- A desire to progress and succeed.
- The ability to work as part of a project team.
